Special session
Wednesday 26th April, 09:30 – 11:10

Join the Editors-in-Chief of Brain and Neuroscience Advances (Jeff Dalley and Kate Baker), together with a panel of exceptional and diverse neuroscientists, for a relaxed and inspiring session to cap-off your BNA Festival 2023 experience.

The session will consider the role of publications within neuroscience and neuroscience careers – impact and influence; triumphs and trials; past, present and future.

The session will involve Desert Island Disc-style interviews between early career researchers and established investigators, discussing papers that have influenced their neuroscience careers, both as readers and authors.

Confirmed castaways are Dr Mike Ashby (University of Bristol), Professor Sarah-Jayne Blakemore (University of Cambridge) and Professor Tara Spires-Jones (UK DRI at the University of Edinburgh AND brand new BNA President!). This will be followed by a panel discussion and Q+A.

By attending this session you will gain insights and top-tips from leading UK neuroscientists across disciplines, enabling you to read papers, write papers, publish papers and review papers with renewed enthusiasm and success.

Our castaways! Shown below: Mike Ashby, Sarah-Jayne Blakemore and Tara Spires-Jones.
