BNA2021 public programme

A key feature of the BNA Festivals of Neuroscience is how they include activities designed to share the excitement, knowledge, and latest research in neuroscience with people who wouldn't normally attend a scientific conference - i.e. anyone who isn't a neuroscientist.

We invite you to submit your proposals for running an activity at the online BNA2021 public programme, and sharing your neuroscience with the world!

The BNA2021 Festival of Neursocience Public Programme

The public programme of events for BNA2021 will take place Tuesday 20th - Saturday 24th April 2021 (please note that this is the week after the main scientific conference).

As for previous Festivals, we are looking for a range of activities that will facilitate sharing of neuroscience with the wider public, in creative and accessible ways: to get an idea of previous events, please see the ones that featured at the BNA2019 Festival of Neuroscience.

The 2021 Festival will take place online.  This means that all proposals will need to be designed with an online audience in mind, or be activities that are not event dependent - e.g. they could be a community activity, a film, collection of artwork, or anything else which you feel will be effective for engaging with your target audience.

How can I be involved?

Please submit your ideas for activities via the form below.

Deadline for proposals: 11:59 GMT 20th January 2021.

It is essential that activities are designed with their intended audience in mind.  We will be looking for proposals that have put thought to how they engage with non-neuroscientists, that have considered the importance of diversity, inclusion and representation, and which will help create an interesting and engaging public programme, making neuroscience accessible and open to all.

The BNA will be able to provide use of their Zoom Webinar Pro licence to host online events, assist with any registration required for such events, and will promote the activity as part of the BNA2021 Festival of Neuroscience.  Any additional costs will have to be met by the proposer.
