About the Festival

Celebrate and share the latest thinking in global neuroscience today!

The ambition and scope of the British Neuroscience Association (BNA) International Festivals of Neuroscience make them unparalleled across the sector.

The Festivals uniquely bring together multiple organisations with an interest in neuroscience at a single, shared event.  This creates a novel, multi-organisation forum featuring all areas of fundamental research in neuroscience and psychology, from both academia and the commercial sector, plus clinical expertise in neurology and psychiatry.

BNA Festivals provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where attendees can exchange ideas connect and develop meaningful relationships among like-minded peers, and interact with industry and community experts from the BNA and its partners.

We are extremely proud to be taking our sixth Festival to Liverpool, famous for being the home of the Beatles, Anfield Stadium, the Albert Docks, and its vibrant citizens – Scousers. From its beginnings as the heart of the Industrial Revolution to a contemporary city with World Heritage status, Liverpool continues to grow in prominence for visitors and the global economy.

In addition to being an international science conference, the Festivals also include a whole programme of activities and events that are free and open to the public. (See BYOB 2023 'Bring Your Own Brain').  Previous BYOB events have included rap performances on consciousness, lunchtime talks, school sessions, and more.

We can't wait to welcome you to Liverpool in 2025!
