UKRN Credibility in Neuroscience bursaries
The BNA is delighted to be partnering with the The UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) to offer bursaries of up to £500 to attend the BNA2019 Festival of Neuroscience and learn about credibility in neuroscience.
These bursaries are available to all delegates of BNA2019, regardless of career stage.
Deadline for applications = 20th March 2019
To be eligible for a UKRN-BNA bursary you must meet the following criteria:

the applicant must attend the BNA2019 Festival of Neuroscience

the applicant commits to attending the following sessions at the BNA 2019 meeting (list sessions)

Sunday 14th April, 16.20 - 18.00: (W1) Big Data: Management, modelling & collaboration

Monday 15th April, 09.30 - 11.10: (W2) President's session: Safeguarding credibility and reproducibility in neuroscience

Monday 15th April, Lunchtime: Credibility in neuroscience advice zone (in main Exhibition Hall)

Tuesday 16th April: 11:50 - 12:50, The EMBO Plenary Lecture (P6): Uta Frith, The new three Rs and what they mean for neuroscientists: reproducibility, replicability and reliability of research

the applicant will be required produce a short report (max 750 words) reflecting on what they learnt about credibility in neuroscience following the meeting, and to participate in a survey.

the applicant will be asked to participate in promotional activity for the UKRN and/or the BNA

Please note that BNA bursaries are paid in pound sterling. Any currency conversion costs will be subtracted from the amount awarded.
The UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) is a peer-led consortium that aims to ensure the UK retains its place as a centre for world-leading research, by investigating the factors that contribute to robust research, providing training and disseminating best practice, and working with stakeholders to ensure coordination of efforts across the sector.
